Be careful what you wish for…
So with a very busy year ahead I was painting like a loon and wishing that I had some time just to play and experiment, move my work forward.
Then comes Corona and everything over the Summer months gets cancelled.
So here is my opportunity. I sit with Buddy and I stare at the canvases in my studio. I had even ordered more paints and and extra blanks to cover whilst I had all this time but the dreaded block comes.
I am normally buzzing when I sit at my easel, I have never known for the energy not to be there, it’s just the norm to love what I do. Yes, I know I am one lucky lady.
So for now I will keep trying. I want to produce more pieces like the one below. Things from my head, not literal representations of the places I love most, but paint from my gut. Maybe it will just take more work and with that more depth.
I will endeavour to keep in touch, but in the mean time, stay safe and sane and I will see you on the other side.
